Rachel McBride is one of the founders of The Helianthus Project. She has been involved in the victim services field for over 6 years. Additionally, she was certified as a C.A.S.A. (Court Appointed Special Advocate), where she received training and certification to attend court hearings on behalf of children 0-5 years old who were victims of sexual abuse.
Alongside continuing her education in Psychology, she is a mother to three beautiful (and spunky) daughters, the proud wife of an active-duty military member, and volunteers regularly within her community and children’s school. She has a soft spot for animals and regularly fosters cats/kittens from the Human Association of the Lowcountry. Currently, her household includes 2 dogs, 3 cats, and 4 foster kittens.
A quote that she lives by is, “When God calls you to do something, you do not hesitate.”
